Lord Of The Flies

Chapter: #1
Chapter Title: The sound of the Shell
Character Perspective: Ralph
I Am In Charge
No Parents, isn’t that just the best thing you have ever heard?! The only bad thing is that we have landed on this island and we all have to find a way to survive. I was voted chief, so that means I am in charge of everyone, even the little kids. Oh well, at least I get to decide all of the orders and what everyone does. Before I called all of the other kids, I met a boy. His name is piggy. Actually, I do not know his real name but he said the kids at his school called him piggy. Piggy showed me how to use the conch that we found so we could call everyone. The last people to arrive at our spot were a group of boys dressed in long cloak like things. There precentor's name was Jack and I told him he could be in charge of his boys and hunting. It seemed easy to get along with jack and we became quick friends. Jack had tow color hair and a very intricate tog. Once we got things straightened out I decided that we should figure out if we were on an island or not so me jack and one of his boys, Simon, decided to find out. Piggy wanted to come along but jack sat he was a fatty and would slow us down. I know he told me not to tell anyone that he was called piggy but I told everyone anyway, and I did feel bad but told him that it was better than being called fatty. The crowd did have some snigger's about his name though. Once Jack, Simon and I set off we all three became good friends. When we got to the spot that we set off for we figured out that yes, we were on am island. So, we started to walk back and realized that we were all quite hungry. After another few minutes of walking we heard something that sounded like hoof beats and went to see. There stuck in a bush was a nice fat hog. We caught him and jack pulled out his pocket knife to kill him, but he just couldn't’t do it. The pig got away. Oh well, it can’t be too far from our meeting spot.
