Quote 1:
“I tried my best to be a worthy representative of my homeland, but. Like a Hollywood celebrity relentlessly pursued but paparazzi, I sometimes got tired of the questions.”
-Firoozeh

Significance:
One of the annoying side effects that comes with the journey to building a new life is all the questions that Firoozeh and her family were constantly asked. Some of the questions were good and people really wanted to understand, but others just wanted to make fun of Firoozeh. Many just thought that Firoozeh and her family were a joke.
Character Judgment:
I think that Firoozeh handle her annoying situation very well because most people would just yell at everyone, but she answered all of the questions annoying or not. I think this would have been had for me to do.
Question:
What would you do if people never stopped asking you questions?
Quote 2:
“I knew he had sent me to camp expecting $500 worth of fun, and I didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth.”
Significance:
I think this quote shows that Firoozeh is a very caring and kind person. Also, I she thinks of everyone else before herself. She just wanted to keep her father happy.
Character Judgment:
This proves that she would go to extents to make sure that no one got their feelings hurt and that everyone was happy. Even if it was a horrible experience for her, she wanted her father to think different.
Question:
Would you do the same to keep someone happy? Why or why not?

i like this quote because when i went to a school with no one from my country they asked me questions too. Some people did want to know more about my country others just tried to make conversations.
i would probably just be like, "hey man just shut up" but I'd say it in a calm friendly way. i would also try asking them questions and they might get annoyed and just stop asking questions

this quote i can relate to because when i went to camp this one time, i didn't have fun at all. it was kind of boring but i still acted like i had fun.
i would absolutely do the same to keep someone happy because i wouldn't want to see them sad. i would also not want to see them happy and let me bring their happiness down.
